Lindsay Matts-Benson is the Teaching and Learning Program Lead for the University of Minnesota Libraries in Minneapolis, MN, USA. She collaborates with librarians, library staff and outside partners on enhancing teaching practices and creating online instructional material related to core information literacy concepts. Lindsay focuses her work on working with students to dislodge misconceptions and reflect on their prior knowledge and experience with using, finding, and evaluating information to make them better citizens of information and better academic researchers. In addition to her role at the University of Minnesota, she is the Coordinator, co-curriculum designer, and presenter for the ACRL workshop Engaging with the ACRL Framework. Lindsay holds a Bachelor’s degree in Communication Studies and Sociology from Concordia College (Moorhead, MN, USA), Master’s degree in Library and Information Science from Dominican University (River Forest, IL, USA) as well as a Master of Arts in Learning Technology from the University of St. Thomas (Minneapolis, MN, USA).
