Lisa Krolak is the Chief Librarian at the UNESCO Institute for Lifelong Learning in Hamburg, Germany. Her research interest in the role of libraries for supporting literacy and lifelong learning, led her to write an international book (Spanish version) and policy brief (Portuguese version) on prison libraries. Lisa is the Chair of the IFLA Working Group on Prison Libraries, which coordinated this July a session on prison libraries during the annual IFLA conference in Dublin and the update of the IFLA Guidelines on Prison Libraries which will be published in the next few months.
